Uit die blou van onse hemel, uit die diepte van ons see, Oor ons gebergtes waar die kranse antwoort gee, Deur ons ver-verlate vlaktes met die kreun van ossewa- Ruis die stem van ons geliefde, van ons land Suid-Afrika.

It all started in 1986 when Debbie Schmid and Alana Bachmann had the clever idea
of organizing the very first "SA BRAAI GET TOGETHER" in Dietschwil (SG)

After looking for a better suited venue they organized yearly braais
at Robinson Spielplatz in Effretikon
from 1987 - 1992

In 1993 it came to a change of organizers
when Dolf and Hans took over

Ever since we had 2 BRAAIS a year
(some with and some without rain)

As from 2009 we'll be reducing this 2 day event to one Sunday a year

South Africans and people with South African connections as far as
Bern, Basel, Luzern, St Gallen and Southern Germany have visited.
